Popular Restaurant Revealed in NE Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

Back in March, Lava Fusion on the corner of Blairs Ferry and Edgewood Road northeast suddenly shut down after five years. The worst part was that employees didn't get a heads up. The restaurant informed everyone of the closing via a Facebook post on their page and a sign that hung on their door.

They originally posted that they were closed and that they were bringing an "Italian Wood Burning Pizza Oven To Cedar Rapids", but things seemed to have changed.

According to the City Assessor page, the property was sold in September and the new  tenant is already being displayed. And if you love Mexican food, you won't be disappointed!

The incredibly delicious La Cantina is moving in! This will be the third location for the restaurant, as they already have locations in downtown Cedar Rapids and Marion.

Now on the door where a "CLOSED" sign once hung, is a beautiful poster that reads "Opening Soon!"
