Presidential Candidates Converge on New Bo Today
The eyes of the U.S. political world are once again focused on Cedar Rapids today as the 5th Annual Progress Iowa Corn Feed opens today at 12:00 p.m. at New Bo City Market.
Progress Iowa Corn Feed offers Iowa voters a chance to hear the ideas and proposals of 12 Democratic Presidential candidates who will each speak for 10 minutes.
The free event features Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer who will deliver welcoming remarks. State Auditor Rob Sand will speak as well, and has been assigned to be the official "timekeeper" for the presidential candidates stage time.
As the 2020 Iowa Caucuses draw near, the national news media will descend on Cedar Rapids in hopes of catching memorable sound bites from hopeful candidates.
But it's also a fun day with Iowa sweet corn, vendors and live music. Tickets to the Corn Feed event is FREE, but email signup is required.
