RAGBRAI Participants’ Bikes Stolen Along Race Route
Dave and Steve Zimmer were riding through RAGBRAI, the bike journey across Iowa, but found yesterday that their bicycles have been stolen.
They found out yesterday morning when they went to leave their campsite in Fort Dodge, but they couldn't find their bikes. They were camping in the middle of the Fort Dodge High School parking lot.
Both bikes are worth some money, valued at $3,000 and $10,000.
Steve went out to make coffee at 5:45am, and the bikes were still there, but when they went to leave for the day's ride, there were no bikes.
If you happen to see a Trek Domane SL 5 or a Trek Madone SLR, contact Dave through his Craigslist listing, or Facebook.
For the time being, David's mom is currently driving out two more bicycles so they can continue to ride.
