Reba, born on an 8,000-acre Oklahoma ranch, recorded her first song with a brother and sister for Boss Records in 1971. Three years later, she sang at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City. Red Steagall saw her that day and invited her to come to Nashville. Red shopped the demos Reba cut for him and helped her get a record deal at Polygram Mercy Records in November of 1975.

In September of 1977, Reba made her first appearance at the Grand Ole Opry. It would be five-and-a-half more years before she secured her first number one song with "Can't Even Get the Blues" in January of 1983. Reba has scored a total of 24 number one songs, across four separate decades, and became a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011.

Reba has also had a great career as an actress. The series "Reba" aired from 2007 to 2007. She currently appears in season three of "Big Sky" on ABC.
