One of the funniest men on the planet will be performing in the Hawkeye State this fall, albeit in the Cyclone territory. Not sure Ron Swanson would approve, but luckily Nick Offerman isn't picky.

"Parks & Recreation" has been one of the most popular shows of the past decade and a half, and among its most famous characters is the "man's man" Ron Swanson. He loved hunting, hated the government, was a huge fan of breakfast food, and was the antagonist boss of assertive and liberated Leslie Knope, who by all accounts, including her own is an inspiring, heroic, historic Goddess.

If you've ever wanted to see Ron Swanson in person, here's your chance, as the actor and comedian who played him comes to Ames for a show on Thursday, September 26 when Nick Offerman performs at Stephens Auditorium.

He calls it the "All Rise" tour. Tickets for this 7 p.m. show go on sale this Friday, March 22 at Noon through Ticketmaster. Check out the Facebook event page below, which describes the actual performance and what you can expect.

As MY personal favorite Parks & Rec character Chris Traeger would say, this is LITERALLY going to be an awesome show.
