Safe Fest 2019 Puts Kids Above All Else
The kids in our community and their safety should be of utmost concern to all of us. That's why organizers from Central Church of Christ and the Cleveland Area Neighborhood Association in Cedar Rapids have put together a comprehensive yet fun program to be held this summer. "Safe Fest 2019" is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd. No registration is required and admission is free!
Safe Fest 2019 will feature stations with information on bicycle safety, stranger danger, poison and drug safety, fire safety, and car seat safety, There's also a chance to win a FREE car safety seat, donated by Cleveland Area Neighborhood Association. along with bicycle helmets donated by the Cedar Rapids Jaycees, tickets to Adventureland and more great prizes.
The day starts at 8 a.m. with a fundraising pancake breakfast to raise money for new ADA-compliant playground equipment at Cleveland Park. Cost for the breakfast is $8 per person for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under.
The rest of the day's events, including games and speakers, will be free.
Cleveland Park is the location, 1600 1st St. SW, Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon.
