Life keeps you busy, no doubt.  There's so many different things we're involved in, either us personally or our family, that it's hard to keep everything so separated.  So it kind of works out nicely when everything comes together, which happens for me Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids Titans Game. In fact, 5 different facets of my life fall into place all during one single night at the US Cellular Center.

If you've ever been to a Titans game, you may be aware that I'm part of the team. Well, kind-of.  It's my job before every game to get the crowd excited and ready for the action, encouraging them to be loud as can be whenever we are on defense.  It's a fun little side gig.  But the job doesn't end there, as I'm also on field at every game during halftime, representing our sister station i107-1 with the Scholarship Scramble.  It's a fun event where 8 high schools compete for the chance to win a $500 scholarship for the student competitor, and $250 for their school.  We've been doing it for the past couple years, and we love it. So that's 2 of the 5 reasons.

Next, weeks ago, my church men's group decided that this weekend's game would be our annual outing.  Being on the men's group, I grabbed my ticket.  I'm really excited about the seats, and the chance to hang "with the guys" outside of the church.  They'll have prime seats to heckle me on field too.

I also found out about a week ago that my kids' school was selected to do the fan tunnel during the pregame.  It's a great experience for the kids.  And since I'll be there anyway, we figured this would be another great family outing.  I'm not sure if you're aware, but Titans games are a ton of fun for families, as they always have a lot going on, including a bounce house down stairs and Sparkles the clown, among other things, going on upstairs.

Finally, Saturday night is KDAT Breast Cancer Awareness night, as we encourage all fans to wear pink to the game to support the cause.  So, as if I wasn't planning on being on field already, I'll be on field to represent KDAT during the game.  If you are going to the game, be sure to wear your pink, and if you can, make a donation to the collection buckets that'll be passed around during the game.

Yup, things get hectic.  But when it all comes together, it's kind of nice.
