The current school district superintendent of Cedar Rapids is out effective in July.

The Cedar Rapids School District called numerous homes Sunday night to inform them of a negative account balance.

After considering early out Wednesdays and late start Mondays, a decision has finally been reached for the 2016-2017 school calendar.

A proposed schedule change for the Cedar Rapids school district that would have seen students have a late start every Monday morning, has been shelved for now.

A special meeting by the Cedar Rapids School District Wednesday evening finally answered the question of who will take over the Superintendent's position, as Dr. Dave Benson retires and the end of the year.  The answer is someone with a familiar face, not only in Cedar Rapids, but also in the Iowa Education System.

We received notice a little bit ago from the Cedar Rapids School District regarding how they will be making up their snow days this year, which has had parents and teachers curious.  We now know.  And we guarantee, some will not like it, at all.
