Just in time for summer vacation, WalletHub has revealed the best (and worst) states for a road trip.

Iowa wasn't ranked very high on the list...

By the time we got about halfway through the safari park, we were a little braver, and decided to feed more animals.  They also had no problems getting closer to us, with a few more close encounters.

After a failed day one, day two saw a whole bunch more stops, but was a whole lot hotter as we got further south without A/C.  We did get to see some pretty cool stuff though.

With family in Houston, my wife and I decided we'd spend a vacation week down with them for a week.  But to make it more exciting and adventurous, we decided to make it a road trip.
