The city is taking necessary precautions to protect the city up to an 18-foot flood stage as of this writing, and that unfortunately includes the temporary closing of the McGrath Amphitheatre. We regret to inform you the Temptations and Four Tops concert scheduled for Friday night, September 7th has been CANCELLED.

A Facebook message on the McGrath Amphitheatre website states that

ticket buyers are in the process of being notified and may request refunds at the point of purchase. Customers who purchased online should expect an automatic refund. Ticket buyers are encouraged to contact the U.S. Cellular Center Box Office at (319) 731-4510 with questions.

VenuWorks, who operates the McGrath Amphitheatre, says,

The VenuWorks staff continues to work with City officials to prepare the amphitheater and are wholly dedicated to ensuring the preparation and safety of this venue to the best of our ability.

We know it's an inconvenience, but the safety of the community comes first. Please stay safe and monitor us on the air, on the web and on our free mobile app for further flood updates in the coming days.
