While some will still travel to see family for Thanksgiving, most will be staying close to home and that's what is driving gas prices down.

Making the decision to stay home for one of the biggest family-gathering holidays of the year, has been a tough decision for every family.

Gas Buddy's Annual Thanksgiving Travel Survey found that only one-third of us plan to it the road for the Thanksgiving feast.

For the last 9 months, pretty much none of us have really traveled the kinds of distances we used to. If the pandemic has a 'positive side', it would be how our not traveling as much has driven down oil prices.

Gas Buddy projects that the average cost for a gallon of gas, around Thanksgiving, will be $2.17. That price per gallon, will be the lowest since 2016, when prices were $2.13 per gallon.
