The Iowa State Fair Has Announced Two More Grandstand Acts
A pop act and a rock band have just been announced for the 2022 Iowa State Fair in Des Moines!
As of this morning, there are nine confirmed acts for this summer's Iowa State Fair, and the latest two to be revealed are going to appeal to a couple of very different audiences.
Let's start with the pop act! Singer Demi Lovato is officially set to take the Grandstand stage on Sunday, August 14th at 8 p.m. According to their bio, Demi is a "GRAMMY-nominated and award-winning singer, actor, producer, podcast host, New York Times best-selling author and advocate." The 29-year-old got their start on the Disney Channel as the star of the movie Camp Rock, and they released their first album "Don't Forget" shortly after. Since then, Demi has gone on to release six more albums, her latest being "Dancing With the Devil... The Art of Starting Over" in 2021.
If rock music is more your thing, you may be interested to know that Disturbed has also been announced for the fair this summer! Disturbed and special guest Chevelle will take the stage in Des Moines on Friday, August 19th at 8 p.m. The Chicago-based metal band got its start in 1994 and has released seven albums over the course of their career.
