I wish I was one of those people that very rarely gets put into a bad mood, but that is definitely not the case! I'm a very sensitive person, so my mood can be brought down for the rest of my day in just a matter of seconds. When that happens, it always helps to have those good, little things to pick me back up.

According to the New York Post, the US Highbush Blueberry Council recently did a survey of around 2,000 Americans to figure out the small things in our lives that have the ability to brighten us up. Here are the top five responses:

  1. Finding money in your pocket you didn't know you had - 58%
  2. Being able to sleep in with no alarm - 55%.
  3. Lying in bed listening to the rain - 51%.
  4. Someone doing a nice, small thing for you - 49%.
  5. Petting a dog - 48%.

I don't ever carry cash, so I don't really ever find money in my pockets, and even without an alarm I can't sleep in to save my life, so my favorite on the list has to be petting dogs. This week at work we were surprised with not one, but TWO puppies, and it honestly made my entire day. And they're up for adoption! Check out the video HERE.
