The annual list of the most calorie-filled items you can order at popular chain restaurants is here, and all of the winners look delicious.

Every year, the Center for Science in the Public Interest does their Xtreme Eating awards, where they compile a list of the most calorie-filled items that you can order at popular chain restaurants. Why do they do this? According to Consumerist:

"These awards are given out annually by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) in the hope of reminding diners (and lawmakers and regulators) that your favorite local lunch, dinner, or dessert spot might be serving you up some real calorie-bombs without you realizing."

This year's list consists of menu items from The Cheesecake Factory, Uno Pizzeria, and Dave & Buster's, but also places that we have here in Eastern Iowa. Here are some of the meals that made the list:

  • IHOP - The Cheeseburger Omelette with side of Buttermilk Pancakes
    • 1,990 calories
    • 4,580mg of sodium
    • 1,0005mg of cholesterol
  • Buffalo Wild Wings - Cheese Curd Bacon Burger
    • 1,950 calories
    • 53g of saturated fat
    • 4,700mg of sodium
  • Chili’s - Ultimate Smokehouse Combo
    • 2,440 calories
    • 41g of saturated fat
    • 7,610mg of sodium
  • Texas Roadhouse: 16-oz. Prime Rib with Loaded Sweet Potato
    • 2,820 calories
    • 72g of saturated fat
    • 5,330mg of sodium
