The Shamrock Shake Will Return This Month

St. Patrick's Day is coming early this year!

According to a new press release, McDonald's announced yesterday that the beloved Shamrock Shake will return on February 15th! The article says:

"While you can't always count on the Groundhog avoiding its shadow, or the weather getting warmer anytime soon… you can count on Shamrock Shake^® Season to make you feel like spring has sprung."

The Shamrock Shake first debuted back in 1970 and has been a huge success ever since. If you've never had one before, they consist of vanilla soft serve ice cream and McDonald's signature Shamrock Shake (mint) flavor, and they're topped with whipped topping. But, that's not the only beverage arriving this month! The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry will also return for its second year. The press release says that one contains "creamy, vanilla soft serve with our Shamrock Shake flavor and OREO^® cookie pieces blended throughout."

February is going to be a big month for McDonald's. Aside from the Shamrock Shake and the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, Spicy Chicken McNuggets just returned to menus on Monday, and more new items will arrive at the end of the month. According to the corporate website, three new chicken sandwiches are on the way. On February 24th, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich will officially be added to menus. You can read more about each of those new sandwiches HERE.
