The Tycoon Will Be Open for New Year’s Eve

A Cedar Rapids bar that only opens a few times a year will open one more time in 2019!

The Tycoon, located at 427 2nd Ave SE in Downtown Cedar Rapids, is a bar that typically only opens for three big events each year: St. Patrick's Day, the Market After Dark, and New Year's Eve. Since New Year's Eve is coming up tomorrow, we wanted to give you let you know that you have another option if your regular stops are too crowded.

The Tycoon will be open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. (DJ starts at 8:30 p.m.) and will offer party favors and a free champagne toast at midnight. There is no cover charge, but you must be 21+ to enter.

I actually really like that The Tycoon opens up for these major events. The bars downtown are usually SO PACKED that it's nice to have another option. Especially one that's so spacious! You can read more about the event HERE.
