Theisen’s Awards $350,000 in Grants

Theisen's Home, Farm & Auto stores have announced that for the 11th year, their More For You grant campaign has awarded $350,000 to 24 area nonprofits.

Grant checks are presented as part of ceremonies held at local Theisen's stores.

"With this year’s grants of $350,000, we are simply giving back to our community and the people we serve,” said co-owner Jim Theisen. “We are so proud to support these organizations as they provide food, shelter, healthcare, safety, and education to children and families in and near our store communities.”

Over the past eleven years, the program has awarded a total of 2.5 million with these grants, which are used by nonprofits as they see fit to help and support their communities.

This year, there were 402 applicants for the grants and disbursed to 242 nonprofits.

Theisen’s currently operates stores in 24 locations across Iowa including Ames, Anamosa, Northeast and Southwest Cedar Rapids, Charles City, Coralville, Davenport, DeWitt, Dubuque, Dyersville, Grinnell, Indianola, Iowa Falls, Maquoketa, Marshalltown, Monticello, New Hampton, Newton, Pella, Tipton, and Vinton.
