A lot of us are feeling blue in 2020. COVID-19 has left many of us feeling more alone then ever, this has lead to many people buying, and adopting pets. This is great! I myself just got some fresh water fish. Other animals from cats, dogs, and even chickens are finding new homes!

As always though there are things to remember before jumping onto a trend.

Some people are finding themselves with more time on their hands than ever before, others are finding themselves very busy. Both of these could lead to people feeling alone, and wanting a pet to keep them company, but it's important to remember that even the easiest pets require attention. While that sounds obvious, it is easy to forget.

If you are very busy it may be best to hold off on pets. Many pet stores recommend searching pets before you get them, any pet from a simple Beta, or all the way up to dogs, or farm animals require some knowledge.

The main recommendation is if you have more free time and feel alone a pet could be great, but if you are just as busy as before COVID, make sure you learn about how much attention your pet would need before you bring one home. Nothing is more frustrating than losing sleep or spending extra money on a pet you got spare of the moment.

You and your new pets deserve to be happy in 2020. It's important that you find that perfect animal. For me it was 4 Guppies in a 10 gallon tank. After you figure everything out they are very easy to take care of, but I was surprised to see how much work actually went into it.

In the end it's all about what will make you happy, and not add more stress for 2020.
