Are you brave enough to take a ride on the Ghost Boat?

The Wisconsin Dells is best known for all of its fun water parks, but did you know that it's also home to a unique haunted attraction? According to the official website, the Wisconsin Dells' "scariest and most intense attraction" is the Dells Ghost Boat. Guests start their journey at 11 Broadway in Downtown Wisconsin Dells, where they board a boat to take them upriver. That's where things get spooky! The website reads:

"As dusk falls on the river, climb aboard the boat that will ply the black waters enroute to the haunted canyon. During this creepy moonlit cruise, you’ll hear the legend of Whiskey Jack and the old mining settlement that gave the canyon its ghoulish reputation. Then it’s time to see if the ghostly tale is true, as your boat docks in an ancient grotto and you continue the quest on-foot, through primeval forest and into the dark, winding recesses of the canyon!"

Because you'll be spending most of your time outside, it's recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Here are a couple of cool photos to show you what you're getting yourself into:

If you're interested in a trip to the Dells this month, the Ghost Boat is open Friday and Saturday nights through Halloween. It's recommended that your purchase your tickets online in advance, and you can do that HERE.

If you'd rather visit a haunted attraction closer to home, there are PLENTY here in Eastern Iowa (no boats, though)! You can check out a list of them HERE.
