It was a busy, and sad Monday for eastern Iowa authorities who recovered the bodies of three people.

According to a media release from the Iowa City Police Department, a person's body was retrieved from Ralston Creek, in the 400 block of South Gilbert Street, Monday morning at 6:45 a.m. The circumstances surrounding the death are unknown. The Johnson County Medical Examiner and Iowa City Police Department are investigating this death. He has been identified as 26-year-old Jonathan Guerrero of Iowa City. Anyone with information on his whereabouts on or around June 30 is asked to call Iowa City police.

Also in Iowa City, a body was recovered from what the Iowa City Police Department describes as a "makeshift campsite" under the Highway 6 bridge over the Iowa River. Officers with the Iowa City Police Department were called to that scene at approximately 2:45 p.m. Monday afternoon. Iowa City Police and the Johnson County Medical Examiner are investigating this death as well. He's been identified as 45-year-old Eric Riskedahl of Iowa City. Anyone with information about his whereabouts on or around June 30 is asked to call Iowa City police. However, police say they don't believe suspicious or criminal circumstances are involved in his death. Police say they do not believe the two Iowa City deaths are related.

Monday afternoon at 4:39 p.m., the search ended for 52-year-old David A. Woodson of Brighton, when his body was recovered. According to a release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Woodson had gone missing at approximately 6:50 p.m. Saturday, June 29 while kayaking at 3180 Highway 1 in Brighton. The search for Woodson continued deep into Saturday night before being suspended. It continued Sunday, and again Monday until Woodson's body was found.
