Get ready for a whole lot of chili! The 2020 Blues 'n' Buffett Chili Challenge is only a few weeks away, which means you'll soon be able to try over 20 different chilis made by folks right here in Eastern Iowa.

The Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club and the Linn County Blues Society are teaming up for another amazing event on Sunday, February 9th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cedar Rapids Marriott. The two organizations will compete to raise money for the Henry Davison Scholarship Program and the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy. Aside from all the chili tasting, event-goers will also be able to bid on a ton of silent auction items.

The first-ever Blues 'n' Buffett Chili Challenge took place in 2001, where they raised a total of $537. Last year they raised over $10,000, bringing their 19-year total to $127,445!

Tickets for the event are on sale now, and you can save a few bucks by purchasing them in advance. Tickets are $8 in advance ($10 at the door), $5 for seniors 65 and older, and free for children ages 7 and under. You can get yours HERE.

We will see you on February 9th! Be sure to stop by the judges' table to say hello to Brain, Jaymz Larson, and me! :)
