Toy Donations Needed For Eastern Iowa Children
An organization that donates toys to foster families is in need of your help. Each year, Families Helping Families of Iowa hosts a large holiday party for children in foster care. This year they are experiencing a shortage of toys.
Right now there are 453 children registered for this year's event with more than 100 more on a waiting list. The party takes place on December 17th at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids. The group says that they need gifts for kids ranging from age 1 to 18. They are accepting donations through December 15th. You can drop your toys off at 3516 Center Point Rd NE in Cedar Rapids from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
