Trade Canned Goods for a Meal at Zio Johno’s Today

If you love Italian food, today is a great day to visit Zio Johno's! According to KCRG, Zio Johno's is hosting a public food trade in order to  restock pantries at local food banks.

If you'd like to participate, it is super easy to do so. All you have to do is stop by one of the participating locations (listed below) and drop off two or more canned food items. Those items will get you a free meal! Your options include one of their 8-inch Gondolas or a traditional plate of spaghetti. The Facebook event reads:

"We are committed to our Community. The food banks need our help, and we are willing to reward you for your help. Donate 2 or more canned food items and receive a FREE 8" Gondola or plate of spaghetti."

Here are the participating Zio Johno's locations here in Eastern Iowa:

• 2925 Williams Pkwy SW in Cedar Rapids
• 953 S Riverside Dr in Iowa City
•  780 Community Dr in North Liberty

All the locations are open today between the hours of 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
