[UPDATED] Two Killed in Crash Involving Wrong Way Driver in Cedar Rapids

[UPDATE 8/12 1 pm] The Cedar Rapids Police Department has released the identities of the two people killed in a late-evening accident on Sunday, August 4. Authorities say 31-year-old Jonathan R.A. McDaniel of Houston, Texas was the man driving a white pickup on Highway 30, that was going east in the westbound lanes. He hit a red pickup being driven by 24-year-old Grant Bevins of Belle Plaine. Both men were killed in the accident.
[ORIGINAL STORY] A crash on Cedar Rapids' south side late Sunday evening, August 4, has killed two people.
According to releases from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, they received reports of a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lanes of Highway 30 at 11:40 p.m. Sunday night. A 2-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 30, near Edgewood Road, a short time later.
There's been no information released on the vehicles involved in the crash, or the drivers. A KCRG photo appears to show two trucks were involved, with both sustaining heavy damage. Cedar Rapids Police confirmed in an early morning media release that both drivers involved in the accident have died.
The westbound lanes of Highway 30 were closed for several hours following last night's crash, before being reopened.
