Two New COVID-19 Deaths, 56 New Cases in Iowa

Two new deaths and 56 additional cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Iowa, according to Iowa News Now.

The Iowa Department of Public Health announced the updated numbers Friday, bringing the positive coronavirus case count to 235 in Iowa. Iowa News Now reports that the new deaths involved an individual above the age of 81 in Powesheik County and another person between the age of 61 and 80 in Allamakee County.

According to the state's coronavirus website, "32 people are currently hospitalized, 101 people have never been hospitalized, and 18 people have been discharged and are recovering" from the virus.
