Have You Been To This Underrated Iowa Park?
Iowa is home to some amazing parks that are nationally recognized, but the local parks are truly amazing as well. You can see that beauty in countless different towns and local areas.
The park we are looking at today is called underrated by spots like "Only In Your State."
Welcome To Edmundson Park
This is a great spot. Sources say,
Not only does it look great, but it's one of the best spots for recreation in the state. It features a golf course, a dog park, and three ball diamonds. You could easily spend the whole day here.
This amazing park is located in the small town of Oskaloosa. This spot is also a National Register of Historic Places. Showing that it is still identified nationally.
Edmundson Park was built in the 1930s and has been acknowledged for its unique Depression area stone adding to it's great history.
As well as to the depression-era heritage of the park! The classic wooden playground has won countless hearts over the decades, but all things change with the times.
Edmundson Size
Along with its beauty, this spot is 60 acres of manicured landscape and is Oskaloosa's largest city park. You can learn more about the park on the website. My personal favorite thing about the park is the history.
Edmundson Park was built between 1936 and 1938 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to the native stone and timber landscape design from the Depression Era.
