It's been one of those magical seasons for the Marion boys basketball team. That's what you call a season when all the close games go your way. Monday night the Indians hosted DeWitt Central and regulation would not be enough.

A Jaffer Murphy layup with .04 seconds left in regulation sent the game to overtime. In the extra period, Marion called timeout with 15 seconds left to set up the game's final play. The ball would be in the hands of Gage Franck. He dribbled to the half-court line, and at the 8-second mark, he made his move. Just one problem. He slipped. Needless to say, he recovered just fine.

It was a great comeback win for Marion who trailed by 14 points at one point during the game. The #2 ranked Indians improve to 13-1, 11-1 in Wamac Conference play. Here's hoping they have plenty of magic left this season!
