I don't know about you, but I forgot there was an airport in Waterloo. Living here in Cedar Rapids, I pretty much only fly from CID. I'm not saying I wouldn't fly out of Waterloo, I just don't want to drive an hour to get there.

However back in the day, there was a flight from Waterloo up to Minnesota. It was close to where my parents lived and it wasn't too expensive. I took it a few times and it worked out well.

I also remember being stuck in Dallas one night. All flights to Cedar Rapids and Des Moines were cancelled. I'll be honest, I didn't think I was going to make it home that night.

But after a quick look at the kiosk, I saw there was a flight leaving for Waterloo and I was able to get a seat and at  get closer to home after a long trip.

The Waterloo Regional Airport is located at 2790 Livingston Lane in Waterloo, Iowa.
