Weekly Concert Series Coming To US Cellular Center

If there is one thing that most of us have missed most during the pandemic of 2020, its concerts. Whether it's being able to see your favorite acts at local fairs and festivals, or watching them live from arenas and stadiums, live concerts are something I can't wait to get back to doing in 2021. But you won't have to wait that long for live music again in Cedar Rapids.

VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids, which manages the US Cellular Center, McGrath Amphitheater, Paramount Theater, and Imon Ice announced plans to bring back live music to the city. The Gazette reports that there will be many new strict safety protocols in place at all venues. All four buildings have been closed since late March.

A weekly concert series will be kicking off at the U.S. Cellular Center in late July. The Gazette reports that they will be held in the Club Five setup which will limit seating to 400 instead of the normal 2,000. Tickets will be just $5 at the door, but reservations will be encouraged for groups that want a table together. Guests must wear a face mask when not at their table. Only clear plastic bags will be permitted inside, and food and drink options have been cut back to minimize contact with staff. The schedule for the Live at the Five concert series is as follows.
