President Trump will return to Cedar Rapids today. If you're one of the many who has tickets to attend his rally or plan on being in downtown Cedar Rapids this afternoon and evening, here are some things to remember.

  • The President's rally is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. People are reportedly already lining up to get in.
  • If attending the rally, you're asked to arrive early and limit personal items.
  • The following items will NOT be allowed inside: homemade signs, banners, professional cameras with detachable lenses, tripods, selfie sticks, backpacks, or large bags.
  • There are no doubt going to be road closures, but the President's motorcade route is never announced ahead of time. He will stop off at Kirkwood Community College before making his way downtown. Plan on road closures when that happens.
  • Motorists should also look out for increased pedestrian traffic downtown near and during the rally.

Once again there are no scheduled road closures in downtown Cedar Rapids, but that could change at any moment during tonight's activities. Remember to be patient if you are downtown tonight!
