For $3,000 a night in Cedar Rapids, you can live in luxury. It's like California in Iowa, complete with palm trees! Keep scrolling to see this awesome piece of paradise below.

As Superhost Joy says in her listing:

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun.

It's easily the most expensive Airbnb in Iowa, according to our research, so I was suspicious. A quick Google search told me that the average cost for an Airbnb here, as of 2021, was $123/night. That averages out to just over $3000 a MONTH.

I wondered why the listing was so vague. And so expensive! Have you ever heard the saying "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is"? Well, kind of. Joyce is a Superhost preparing to put a new property up for rent in Cedar Rapids at the end of the month. However, the one in this listing is in San Gabriel, California. From what we can gather it is just a "placeholder". Here's what Joy told me, verbatim, in her response:

These are photos from a property I own in San Gabriel, CA. We get control of the CR property at the end of the month, and we will furnish and get professional photos then

She says to check back then for more professional photos. I don't know. I actually like San Gabriel. My late aunt and uncle used to live there.

So, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but your $3,000 dream home Airbnb is actually in another state. If you want more information, check with Joy at her Airbnb profile here.
