Country Legend Willie Nelson is Headed Back to Iowa This Summer
I don't know if anything will ever stop Willie Nelson from going on tour! The 90-year-old country icon is headed back to Iowa this summer, less than a year after his last visit.
According to a new article from the Des Moines Register, Willie Nelson will bring his Willie Nelson & Family Tour to the Lauridsen Amphitheatre at Water Works Park in Des Moines on Saturday, May 25th at 7 p.m. Willie brought his tour to the Lauridsen Amphitheatre last June, and he also played the McGrath Amphitheatre in Cedar Rapids last May.
Willie Nelson has been making music for more than 80 years! He wrote his first song at age 7 and joined his first band at age 10. His latest album Bluegrass was released in September of 2023, which is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards. He was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year!
