Athletes from around the state will compete in Dubuque this weekend, January 22-24, celebrating the 2021 Winter Iowa Games presented by Grinnell Mutual. Youth Hockey and Youth Volleyball along with Soccer and Martial Arts for both adults and youths will be held at various venues around the community.

However, as mentioned on the Iowa Games website, the challenges and uncertainty that COVID-19 has presented will prevent the Iowa Sports Foundation and the Iowa Games from appropriately planning, organizing, and producing the events safely. In consideration of the health and well-being of all athletes, volunteers, officials, and staff, they have canceled some of the Winter Iowa Games events.

The following events have been cancelled and will not be held during the 2021 Winter Iowa Games:

NASP | Central City
Pickleball
Snowshoe
