The person injured in a late-evening crash Wednesday, June 19, after eluding Cedar Rapids Police, has died.

According to KCRG, the Cedar Rapids Police Department says 41-year-old Wendy Muller was the person driving a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in a one-vehicle accident at approximately 11:40 pm on June 19. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle near 10th Street and 8th Avenue SW because the vehicle had an expired registration. Muller allegedly ran the stop sign at that intersection and eventually ended up upside down against a house in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue SW after the Grand Cherokee she was driving hit a light pole and a parked car.

Muller was transported to a local hospital but died from injuries sustained in the crash.
