If you need a fun photo for your Christmas card this year, Dogs Forever wants to help you out!

Dogs Forever, an animal rescue here in Cedar Rapids, will be hosting their Holidog Photo Shoot again this year. The one-day event will take place on Saturday, November 21st at Ideal Social Hall in Cedar Rapids. A post on the official Dogs Forever Facebook page says that the photoshoot "is a great way to get that family photo and include that important pet."

In order to participate in the photoshoot, you will have to register for a time slot in advance. The 15-minute appointments begin at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. The cost is $40 and the backdrop will have some sort of holiday theme. Here are some of the backdrops they've used in the past:

Here are some examples of the wonderful backdrops we have had at our Holidog photo sessions. This is one day only on...

Spots are limited, so you will want to get your family signed up ASAP! You can do that online HERE.

Dogs Forever also announced this week that their Saturday open houses will finally resume after the pandemic caused them to be put on hold. The shelter will be open for dog meet-and-greets on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are a few new rules, though. For example, masks will be mandatory and no more than 10 guests will be allowed in the building at a time. If there are too many people in the shelter, you'll be able to sign-in inside and then wait outside in your car. Social distancing is also strongly encouraged.

You can check out all of the adorable pups up for adoption at Dogs Forever, including our recent Furry Friday dogs Harley & Murphy HERE!

We have been waiting along time for this day. Tomorrow we are back to open house hours. We will be open on Saturdays...
