Here's something cool you can do with the kids this week. Drive them through a holiday light display where they can grab a treat, visit with Disney characters Elsa, Olaf, and Anna, and drop off their letters to Santa.

Vibrant Credit Union is hosting a “Deck the Drive-Thru" holiday celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 at Vibrant’s Bettendorf branch, 3230 Ridge Pointe Drive as part of their ongoing “Vibrant Nights” holiday lights display.

You can enjoy the entire event from the safety and comfort of your own car. When you drive through, you'll have four stops.

The first stop is the treat station. Pick up a treat from QC vendors while supplies last, then drop off your kids' letters to Santa. Credit union staff will be sure to get them to Santa at the North Pole in time for Christmas.

Another stop includes the characters from Frozen. The kids can wave and talk to Olaf, Anna, and Elsa while you drive through the event.

Finally, if you bring a non-perishable food item, canned good, canned meats, chili, stews, and soup, as well as peanut butter and cereal, or a $5 cash donation for River Bend Food Bank the kids will receive in exchange, a special holiday toy from Vibrant as thanks.

The holiday light display covers the Bettendorf Vibrant Credit Union building and it’s lit from 5 to 10 p.m. every day through the end of the year.

The light display features 5,000 lights. You’ll hear holiday music play during those hours too.
