Is Zayn Malik Releasing a Brand New Single Soon?
Malik, whose debut solo album Mind of Mine dropped in March 2016, could be steps away from ushering in his next era, according to Oh No They Didn't. The site says a new song called "Hurt" has been officially registered with Broadcast Music, Incorporated. Moreover, the track includes contributions from Chloe Angelides, who worked on Selena Gomez's "Fetish" and Demi Lovato's "You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore" and Andrew Watt and Ali Tamposi, who wrote Camila Cabello’s "Havana and Gomez's "Wolves."
NME has also reported that Linear Management said in a since-deleted tweet that Beatriz Artola was working on “an upcoming release” with Malik.
In August, Malik, himself, told Billboard that his sophomore record will be a more decisive project than Mind of Mine, which he said was a bit scattered.
“I feel like my songwriting definitely developed,” he said. "Just because I’ve been doing it so much. I feel like the songs are a bit more organized, where I felt like, before, that Mind of Mine was a brainstorm. That’s why I called it Mind of Mine, because it was ideas that I had that I put out. This one is more thought out. I had more time to process everything and go through it all. It’s an evolution.”
