Zayn's next album is finally coming. On Friday (June 29), the singer took to Twitter to reveal his new album is on the way and also gave his fans a "taster" of what's to come. While Zayn didn't announce a release date, the singer did share a cover of Beyonce's "Me, Myself and I."

"Album is on the way, Got a few surprises for you too .. here's a taster," he tweeted on Friday.

Zayn's version of the Beyonce classic doesn't stray too far away from the original, keeping the same R&B flavor, as Zayn sprinkles his soulful voice throughout the track. Fans have already been reacting positively to the news with one woman tweeting, "WHO GIVES A 3 MINUTE TASTER THIS IS A MEAL SIR."

Another fan tweeted, "I am just so excited omg, I already know that Z2 will be a MASTERPIECE! We are so proud of you Zayn, we appreciate your hard work more than anything else in the world, and we can't wait to listen to all of your new incredible, soulful songs.

While not much else is known about Zayn's upcoming sophomore album, it's believed the singer scrapped the original project following his breakup with Gigi Hadid. According to a report from The Star, Zayn had an album of romantic songs recorded but the songs became painful to him.

“During most of that time he was completely head over heels in love with Gigi so that’s what he wrote about," a source said. "There’s lots of songs about their love, passion and sensuality. But some of the songs are more painful to him than loving now."

The two have since been spotted together again, fueling rumors that they are officially back on as a couple.
