Every craft idea I do, no matter how big or small, is all about 1 thing.  It's not about the craft and how cute it is.  It's not about keeping the budget low (although that's important). What it's really about is either spending time together as a family to make it, or the gift the craft provides to the family upon completion. So, this might just be the easiest craft I have done yet for this series. Essentially, this is a jar with a label. Easy. Done.  But it represents so much more than that.

This craft is really about family, and utilizing this craft throughout the year. As parents, we all say that the kids grow up too quick, and time flies as you get older. So here's a way to essentially slow it down, and reflect back.  Encourage family members to write down those memories throughout the year, no matter how big or small.  Maybe make it a part of a Sunday morning ritual.  And then on New Year's Eve, go through the jar, and reflect back on all the year's memories.  It's amazing what you forgot.  You can even utilize the jar to break tension on a really tough day, as you turn an frustrating moment around by reflecting on a happy memory.  Try it.
