KDAT Pet Project

In case you weren't aware, pretty much every day is some kind of holiday. Today, is one of the best of all, especially for pet lovers, as it's National Love Your Pet Day.

Across the country, everyone is trying to do what they can to stay warm.  We're feeling many of the cold effects here in Eastern Iowa.  But while you're protecting yourself, don't forget to protect your pets too.

Onyx will be lonely no more if you stop in this weekend and bring this cute cat into your home. Onyx is part of the Lonely Hearts Club at the Cedar Valley Humane Society. The fee is just $45 dollars as Jan Clark explains in this Pet Project Video...

Onyx is a very sweet dog. Lonnie and Jan from the Cedar Valley Humane Society introduced us to the big fella and we fell in love.

While "Awww" might be the perfect name for a puppy since that's the first word many people make when seeing one, it has yet to catch on. In fact, it seems like pet owners aren't changing at all when it comes to picking a name for their puppies.

Whiskas made a return stop here at KDAT. He's been in the Cedar Valley Humane Society's care since early June. He is a very friendly and relaxed boy with a great attitude! He gets along just fine with dogs, and he loves to help with paperwork and typing...

**Update: Rocky has been adopted! Jan and Lonnie stopped in with a cute dog looking for a forever home. His name is Rocky and he's a Minature Maltese/Schnauzer with lots of pep!
