Cedar Rapids school officials announced another administrator from Washington High School is leaving in the wake of an inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student. 57-year-old Associate Principal and Athletic Director Michael Johnson is retiring. This comes just one week after the principal at Washington, 72-year-old Ralph Plagman, was asked to resign after 35 years with the school.

In an interview with The Cedar Rapids Gazette, substitute teacher Mary Beth Haglin named Johnson and Plagman as the staff members who investigated her behavior back in February. Haglin has since been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after what police say was a sexual relationship with a Washington student. Cedar Rapids School's superintendent Brad Buck has said that the investigation was not done according to district policy.

Johnson had been a faculty member for 26 years. The school is searching for an interim athletic director as well as an interim principal.
