A Downtown CR Restaurant was Named the ‘Most Romantic’ in Iowa

It's hard to believe, but we are already halfway through the month of January! That means Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away. Do you and your significant other have anything planned yet?

It may feel like it's too early to start thinking about the holiday, but Valentine's Day falls on a Friday this year. Because of that, I'm predicting that local restaurants are going to be PACKED. It couldn't hurt to start thinking about where you want to go!

In honor of the upcoming holiday, the website Delish came up with a list titled "The Most Romantic Restaurant in Every State." I thought that Cedar Rapids would be overlooked and a Des Moines restaurant would be chosen, but I'm happy to report that I was wrong! The winner for Iowa is Cobble Hill. The article states:

"You don't have to leave Iowa to eat like you're in New York. Cobble Hill is modeled after a cluster of Brooklyn neighborhoods and offers delicious dishes like duck confit and roasted pork belly, all with an emphasis on sustainability and local ingredients."

We went to Cobble Hill for our company Christmas party back in 2017, and everything we ate was delicious. Here are some photos of our meal:

Located at 219 2nd St SE in downtown Cedar Rapids, Cobble Hill is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. They have yet to post any details about Valentine's Day plans, but you can keep up to date with the latest by following them on Facebook HERE.
