It's been a while since we've been able to see a live comedy show in Cedar Rapids, but that's going to change later this month! According to the McGrath Amphitheatre's Facebook page, comedian Theo Von will be headlining at the venue on Saturday, September 26th.

If you've never heard of Theo, here's what the McGrath Amphitheatre's website has to say about him:

"Theo Von has become one of the biggest names in comedy. Von recently performed to sold-out large theaters across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Scandinavia, and Australia on his DARK ARTS TOUR. Theo is well known for his much-admired Netflix special NO OFFENSE (2015) and will be releasing his upcoming special in Fall 2020."

Theo also has his own podcasts, 'This Past Weekend' and 'King and the Sting,' and has been featured on other popular podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience. If you want to check out a bit of his stand-up, here's a set he did for Comedy Central's 'This is Not Happening' back in 2018 (the video DOES feature explicit content):

Tickets for Theo Von's show went on sale yesterday and are being sold in "pods" of two, three, or four, or five to ensure social distancing. Event-goers will also be required to wear a face covering when they are not in their designated seat. The show will start at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m. and the food court available at 5 p.m. If you're interested in attending, you can get more information and purchase your tickets HERE.
