Alabama, the most successful group in the history of country music, is coming to Cedar Rapids next spring. The guys will be coming for a truly special tour for their 50th Anniversary!

It all started in 1969 when Randy Owen and cousin Teddy Gentry formed 'Wildcountry' in their hometown of Fort Payne, Alabama. Cousin Jeff Cook soon joined them and eight years later they became 'Alabama.' April 16, 1980, they recorded 'Tennessee River." One month to the day later, it was released to radio and would become their first number one song later that year. Over the next seven years, every song they released would reach number one. 21 straight in all. No wonder Alabama's website calls them 'the band that changed everything.'

The band with an incredible track record of success comes to Cedar Rapids next spring with the two men that started the band still gracing the stage, nearly 50 years later. That is truly incredible! And after seeing them live earlier this fall, I can tell you they sound just as good as they ever have.
