Some friends of mine here at the radio station signed me up for Snapchat a few years ago. I told them, "No Way!" But they stole my phone and the account was born. Now I love the app and think it's a lot of fun to use!

I'll be honest, I was dead set against it. After a few months of messing around with it though, I really started enjoying it. It's so much different than the other social media platforms.....but should an old guy like me be using Snapchat?

I guess I'm not THAT old, but old enough. I won't tell you my exact age, but the year I graduated, Forrest Gump was released and Steve Young was the Super Bowl MVP. I'm not close to retiring, but some days I feel like it.

I've had people tell me, "Snapchat is for kids!" "You're too old to be snapping!" One guy at the gym said, "Put down the phone and STOP THE MADNESS!"  Some people are really angry about the snaps and I don't know why?

What I like most about Snapchat is that you can tell a story. I'm not the type of person that likes to post every 10 minutes to social media, but with Snapchat, it's almost expected to post new pictures and videos...especially if you're at a cool event like a concert or sporting event.

So, let me ask you: Should a 42-year-old man that lives with a cat be using Snapchat?
