Arctic Air to Bring Cold Temps to Eastern Iowa
Enjoy this weekend because things are about to get a little chillier here in Iowa.
According to CBS2, winter is returning next week as a "system will cross into eastern Iowa on Monday leading to chances for light rain." Here's where things cool off a bit, as colder air builds in behind that system, it could cause that rain to be a mix of, or complete, snow. This dusting is expected to be pretty light if it does come to light. That's not too bad, right? Enjoy Monday's 30-degree temps, because that's about to drop. Things really take a turn south as some frigid, arctic air moves into the Midwest in the middle of next week bringing temperatures plunging to the teens and 20s. Brrr.
If you haven't hung your Christmas lights yet and are planning on it, now is the time. This could be the last warmer weekend we have for a while. We're a couple of weeks away from the first day of winter and it's going to start to feel like it.
