After a one-year hiatus, the iconic Burlington Steamboat Days entertainment festival is back for 2020.

According to a Facebook post, it will return June 11-13 on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Burlington. Burlington Riverfront Entertainment is organizing the event this year. Features like Family Fest, Kids' Day, and the Steamboat Days Parade will all return.

Organizers are working to book national, local and regional rock and country artists for the main stage entertainment. The yet-to-be booked national artists will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday night with the regional and local acts playing on an admission-free Thursday night. Burlington Steamboat Days' President for 2020 is Doug Ervine, who said:

Year in and year out, country music artists overwhelmingly outperform every other music genre,” Ervine continued. “People vote with their feet and country music has always been a solid pick for us. Focusing our concert dollars on country performers means we can give our community what it wants

"Typhoon Tommy’s USA Freestyle Tour" will be part of the festivities on Friday and Saturday evenings ahead of the main stage shows. It's a cool watersports show put on by professional USA Freestyle jet skiers and Flyboard & Jetovator extreme athletes.

More entertainment, musical acts, ticket prices, and information will be announced soon, as organizers will be focused on affordable pricing.
