When you look into Caesar's eyes, you can tell they've lived a tough life. Now, he just wants some rest and relaxation in a new forever home. But don't let this senior dog fool you! Caesar still has plenty of life and fun to give a loving family!

Caesar is around 14 years old and is a rat/terrier mix. He weighs about 30 pounds and he loves to cuddle up on the couch and relax. But like all terriers, he has his playful side too! Caesar and his mom came to Iowa from Missouri, where they were at another shelter due to neglect. After living there 2 months and facing death, they were transferred to Safe Haven of Iowa County. Thank goodness!

Sadly, Caesar's mom has been transferred to a hospice foster home. She is sick, but will live out her final days loved, and in comfort. Now, poor Caesar is all alone. This wonderful dog gets along with other animals and people too. He loves walks, and LIVES for food!

Caesar has been left for dead, moved to a new state, and now separated from his mom. It's been a rough go for the little guy. Is your family the one that will open up your home and hearts to this wonderful guy, just looking for some deserved attention? If you would like to take Caesar home, you can learn more about him and fill out an adoption application at Safe Haven of Iowa County. Lets find him a home soon.
