Carrie Underwood and Hubby Celebrate Date Night — and Birthday — at CMT Awards
While birthdays are meant to be all about the birthday baby in question, we're guessing Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher had no real beef letting his best gal take the spotlight on his special day Wednesday (June 5). The couple enjoyed a night out at the 2019 CMT Awards, where Underwood won awards for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year (for “Cry Pretty” and “Love Wins," respectively).
Fisher certainly didn't seem too put out about sharing his birthday, posting a photo to social media and sweetly noting, "Date night at the cmt's with this beauty!"
As for Underwood, she made sure to give credit where credit is due when accepting her first trophy for Female Video. "it is my husband's birthday today. Look what they got you," she joked, as Fisher grinned sheepishly in the audience.
Underwood is busy as always; in addition to adjusting to her new family of four and picking up awards, she's currently on her Cry Pretty tour, which will keep her well occupied through fall.
