Travel is increasing, and not just because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently said fully vaccinated people could do so safely. This past Easter weekend saw a record 6 million travelers through Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) screenings.

It's been a long year of people not being able to see their families or go on that vacation, and the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is noticing an uptick in people growing impatient to take those trips. That's why, according to KCRG, they say they are ready to hire more staff.

In addition to the airport itself, the airlines they serve which include American, Delta, United, Frontier, and Allegiant are looking for extra staff as well. It's a major difference from this time last year when most airlines and airports were looking to lay off staff.

CID will host a job fair conducting on-the-spot interviews from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Tuesday, April 13. You'll be entered to win gift cards to local businesses when you attend the job fair as well. They are looking to fill a variety of positions from ticket-counter positions to those outside working close to the planes.
